As a designer Ari D. Norman was first introduced to the Victorian era through childhood stamp collecting, and one of the 'must have' stamps of the time was the Penny Black, which in fact was the first adhesive stamp.
In searching for his illusive prize Ari would frequent markets with his mother and during their search they kept coming across these curious Victorian trinkets made of silver. Many of them Ari could not imagine their purpose so he kept asking and learning. The more he learnt the more involved he became with the wonderful world of audacious functionality that is Victoriana, with a special interest in the care in detail to so many of these era's pieces. In truth he developed a fascination with pillboxes, perfume bottles and lorgnettes and he still surprises himself at how how excited he gets when designing and handling such pieces!
Please enjoy this delightful selection of some of our Victorian inspired pieces fashioned from .925 sterling silver as well as gold or Rhodium plated costume jewellery decorated with enamel and crystals.
